‘When Fish Begin To Crawl’ features moving images sourced from partners across the World, from Harvard University astrophysicists to Al Jazeera news network, to take the audience on a unique journey through life on Earth.
When Fish Begin To Crawl blends archive footage of The Flow Country and new film shot by those who live and work there with a breathtaking range of moving images sourced from collaborators across the globe, taking audiences on a unique journey from the formation of galaxies to the emergence of life on earth. Highlights include collaborations with Nikon Small Worlds awardees, Jenna University biomechanical scientists, Harvard astrophysics and a Swiss Air pilot who makes time-lapse videos above the clouds from the cockpit of his Boeing 747. The film is executive produced by theoretical biologist Professor John Crawford, Professor of Strategy and Technology at University of Glasgow.
After the screening we are joined by the film-makers Jim Sutherland and Morag McKinnon for a Q+A session.
