Free six-week courses:
During 2025/6 we are delivering a series of eight, six-week woodworking courses for residents living in Granton, Pilton & Muirhouse.
Sessions will include the opportunity to become familiar with and safely use a variety of woodworking tools, design and build your own scaffold plank furniture for your home, such as a shoe rack, bookcase, shelves, or small table. The sense of achievement and pride that comes with designing and making something from scratch is powerful, and the opportunity to choose what to make and plan how to do so will give participants ownership of their learning.
The courses will be delivered by our Development Workers and will cover:
Community woodworking modules 1&3
Learning hand tools & power tools
Make a scaffold piece of furniture
PPE will be provided
