The Scottish Government is pleased to announce the official launch of the Climate Engagement Fund. Designed to foster a deeper understanding of the climate emergency among communities across Scotland, the Fund aims to support climate engagement activities that can effectively reach new audiences through innovative and creative approaches.
Investing in Climate Engagement
As part of their commitment to address the pressing challenges of climate change, the Scottish Government has allocated a total of £550,000 to the Climate Engagement Fund. This funding presents a crucial opportunity to support impactful projects that raise awareness, educate, and mobilise citizens to take meaningful action in combatting the climate crisis.
Building Bridges Across Communities
One of the primary objectives of the Climate Engagement Fund is to bridge gaps between diverse communities across Scotland. They welcome and encourage participation from communities of all types, including geographic regions, cultural groups, and environmental organisations.
The Climate Engagement Fund is now open for applications, offering funding ranging from £50,000 to £100,000 for larger-scale engagement initiatives.
How to Apply
To apply for funding from the Climate Engagement Fund, interested parties can access the application form and find detailed information about eligibility criteria on the Scottish Government website here. The application deadline is 12 noon on Friday, 1st September 2023.
