Carbon Literacy Training

To support our members and help deepen their knowledge on climate change, ECCAN is offering free, accredited Carbon Literacy training. Being Carbon Literate means gaining knowledge of the carbon costs and impacts of activities and identifying positive actions to tackle them.

We have a limited number of spaces available for an upcoming Carbon Literacy course, which is free to our members. This course is accredited and run by Keep Scotland Beautiful.

In this training course you will:

▪ Understand the science of climate change.

▪ Understand how your organisation will be impacted by climate change – both in terms of physical impacts and legislation.

▪ Understand the meaning of terms like ‘Climate Emergency’, ‘global warming’, ‘climate change’ ‘net zero’ and ‘carbon footprint’.

 ▪ Appreciate the significant changes ahead as Scotland moves to a low carbon future.

▪ Identify practical actions your organisation can take to reduce emissions and future-proof your business.

▪ Have the opportunity be certified as Carbon Literate

▪ Have the opportunity to set your organisation on the route to be accredited as a Carbon Literate Organisation.

Best of all, it’s for free!
