Climate Adaptation Workshops

We are excited to announce that we are offering Climate Adaptation Workshops for our members!

In these sessions, we will support community groups to delve into how climate change is impacting their communities and discuss what measures can be taken to support their adaptation journey.

We understand each community is different and want to find the approach that works best for each member. That’s why we’re offering a bespoke approach for these workshops: whether you want to bring this to your next community event or session, or are happy to welcome us for a special one-off workshop, we’re committed to creating meaningful opportunities that work for your group.

This is part of the Climate Ready South East Scotland project, where ECCAN and other local climate hubs are working with Sniffer to makes sure the adaptation strategy they will be presenting to Scottish Government reflects the voices and experiences of our communities.

In these workshops you can:

  • Explore what a city or community looks like before and after adaptation
  • Make suggestions that will be fed back to decision makers and can shape Edinburgh’s adaptation plans for the near future
  • Share stories from your own experience with climate change in Edinburgh

Whether you’re a seasoned member or new to our community, we would love to hear how a workshop/session/other story sharing event can work for you and what that can look like!

If you would like to have your voice heard but the stars don’t quite align for an interactive workshop, you can always add your story and suggestions for adaptation in the Climate Story Map via this link .

Looking forward to hearing from you!
